Liberation Season 6

Oracle Pandalf

Pure Pandalf didn't foresee the return of Nebotus. Like everyone else, he knew the evil factions were plotting, and he knew Nebotus wasn't gone forever—in fact, he was the very one who had warned the righteous factions during the Corruption Era. But he failed to connect the dots. He never anticipated that the conspiracy of the Alliance of Evil would culminate in them all pledging allegiance to Nebotus, finally granting the tyrant the respect and legitimacy he had always craved.

The revelation shattered Pure Pandalf. The news caught him at a vulnerable moment, caught in the grip of age and exhaustion. He felt utterly powerless to help, despite the steady stream of righteous monsters arriving at his hut seeking guidance. Panion and Pangoliath, who lived with him, had to step up and tend to the visitors while the old mage consumed himself with guilt, beating himself up for failing to foresee what he should have known all along.

Sensing his despair, his brother Pandatone wrote to the Magic Council, pleading for them to take Pandalf in, knowing he desperately needed a change of scenery. Xandrite Spellbound welcomed his old friend without hesitation. At first, confined to the castle that was once his home, Pandalf sought answers within the thousands of library books he already knew by heart. Finding nothing new, he finally surrendered to the silence and resigned himself to deep meditation.

But this was no ordinary meditation. As days bled into weeks, the Council mages grew anxious, yet none dared disturb the radiant aura of raw energy that had begun to envelop him. By the second month, Pandalf was suspended in mid-air, a conduit of pure, crackling magic that empowered every wizard who dared draw near. They feared he had lost himself forever to the astral plane—until the moment the cosmos answered.

In a blinding flash of celestial light, Pandalf transfigured. His robes shifted into brilliant new hues, a set of phantom golden arms unfurled from his back, and the heavy lines of age vanished, leaving him looking younger and more formidable than ever before. As his feet gently touched the stone floor, the lingering magic settled. He opened his eyes, burning with renewed purpose, and spoke a single vow: "I am ready."

As it turned out, Sarumonkey proved to be quite an asset, using his staff to tear open portals from one astral plane to the next. So, when Pandalf finally felt enlightened, refreshed, and ready to return to Petra, Sarumonkey decided to tag along, eager to sniff out whatever new challenges awaited him there.
