Misery Season 3

Voreth Voidspawn
Abominations have no known origin. No one can trace their roots back to a specific point in Monster History, or remember a time when they were not there—visible or not, the rumor of their presence a timeless menace. Because Abominations don’t communicate with other factions, or are social at all, we can only measure their history in terms of what other factions know about them: We know when the menace has been present, when they’ve been seen, when they’ve made a civilization or two disappear. We know Abominations only for how they’ve been suffered by others.
However, regardless of their unknown past, their future is already here. Because something has changed. Or, better said, has been changed for them from the outside—specifically, from the Octalian lab in the heart of the Cosmo Civilizations faction. That’s where a Revolutionary Abomination has been born.
Is an Abomination born away from its faction an Abomination? Absolutely. An Abomination is an Abomination, wherever it might be born, whatever new skills it may have. It will always be one of its kind, and part of this ever-mysterious group which keeps the entire universe with their breath held.
So… This is Voreth Voidspawn. Voreth wasn’t exactly “spawn”. Its egg was stolen from inside a void, but it hatched in a lab, away from its faction. There, before its shell cracked, it was the subject of treatments and experiments within its egg. The result is groundbreaking: Voreth Voidspawn is an Abomination in all its glory, but it is the first one with the ability to express itself in a way that the rest of Monsterkind can understand.
Thanks to Voreth’s first interactions, we have already learned a couple of things: Abominations don’t enjoy noise. They’re too used to the silence of the big universe and their small void. They smell colors and taste the wind. Uhm… No notes on that. But more importantly to us, we have learned that Abominations do communicate with one another, which we suspected and feared. And Voreth can communicate with them, while the rest of Monsterkind can only communicate with Voreth, who, by the way, doesn’t seem all that eager or willing to communicate with other species, in spite of being able to. Not even with the Octalians, however much they may worship its kind.
The problem is… Abominations were let out of their void by Cosmo Civilizations only because they counted on their willingness to collaborate with them and the rest of Nebotus’ Evil Alliance, but… They didn’t ask to belong to any alliance at all. Or like the concept of alliance.
Maybe that’s something someone should have thought about before unleashing them onto the universe. They won’t go away easily. Not even by talking to their Revolutionary, Voreth Voidspawn. Voreth Voidspawn is a Tank and Torturer with Immunity to Heal debuffs, Decay, Negative Effect Protection, Tortures, and Torture Explosion.
Evolving Trait:
Rank 0: Eldritch
Rank 1: Status Caster - Applies Decay to all enemies at the start of its first turn

Umbrakine
Abominations are difficult to perceive, but this one is nearly impossible to see. Umbrakine is a shadow-born entity that dwells in darkness. Only when the stars align in a rare and precise formation can one catch a fleeting, horrifying glimpse of its form and its scything limbs.
For reasons as mysterious as the Abominations themselves, whenever Umbrakine draws near Voreth Voidspawn, its entire shape becomes fully visible, an event that magnifies the terror it ignites. Umbrakine is an Extra Turn Attacker with Shock, Nightmares, random Tortures, and Decay skills.
Evolving Trait:
Rank 0: Abomination
Rank 1: Status Caster: Applies Shock to all enemies at the start of the battle
Rank 3: Status Caster: Applies Decay to all enemies at the start of the battle
Bogthorog
Bogthorog is one of those Abominations that should never be unleashed. Remember how Jasastur, Kawthor, and others used the Portal of Abominations in Petra to infiltrate the planet and feed on the fear of its inhabitants? Bogthorog belongs to that same club. It thrives in green, damp environments, fascinated by forests, bogs, and swamps, where it lies in wait for unsuspecting victims to wander into its traps.
The most terrifying part? It now has Voreth Voidspawn as a guide—scouting new green territories, listening to monsters whisper about hidden spots, and pointing Bogthorog in the right direction. With this assistance, it can unleash far more than mere trouble.
Bogthorog is a Taunt Tank with Space-Time, Damage Protection, and Elemental Protection, with a side of Torture skills.
Evolving Trait:
Rank 0: Abomination
Rank 1: Taunt
Rank 3: Status Caster: Applies Decay to all enemies at the start of the battle
Butchekart
Guerrilla warfare is the weapon of choice for those who lack access to professional arms or expensive resources. As you can imagine, it’s the Wastelands’ preferred—if not only—way to fight back against the new presidential regime in Elektra. And no one does it quite like them: creative, reckless, and utterly unpredictable. They don’t plan their actions; they improvise. The moment they dream up an idea, they’re already doing it.
Lately, their favorite pastime has been storming city malls and rioting, grabbing whatever ordinary goods they can find to build makeshift “weapons.” Cola-bottle jetpacks, frozen-pizza shields, rubber-glove ropes, chamomile-tea bombs—you name it. These outlaws are nothing if not ingenious, and even if they don’t have many resources, they have the perfect secret workshop to carry out their mischiefs at the back of Stina’s Garage.
And at the center of these chaotic operations is their monster of a leader: Butcherang. If you remember him, you’ll know that he’s never been the most eloquent monster, but his passion speaks for him, and the Wastelands monster would all trust him with their life. However, now Butcherang insists on being called Butchekart. Why the change? Because he’s built himself a savage tank out of a stolen shopping cart. Ridiculous. Brilliant. Perfectly Wastelands.
The Wastelands won’t fold their hands in the face of oppression.
Butchekart is a Special and Dark Support mobster with Tortures, Extortion, and random negative effects.
Evolving Trait:
Rank 0: Hardened
Rank 1: Tough
Rank 3: Status Caster: Applies Nightmares to all enemies at the start of its first turn
Fennevyr
At the moment, it’s Nebotus Evil Lord’s universe, and the righteous factions have yet to find a way to stand against him. But in the shadows, something stirs. A silent resistance is moving, fighting not for glory, but to save as many monsters as possible from torture or forced servitude under the dark banner.
With disappearances rising (monsters abducted and imprisoned in Nebotus’s dungeons), hope still finds its way. Because heroes like Fennevyr risk their lives every day to bring them back.
In just a few short months, Fennevyr has rescued more prisoners than he can count. Cloaked in shadow, he moves unseen through corridors of despair, slipping into dungeons and leading captives to freedom. Outside, brave Adventurers of the Guild wait to take them into hiding until the time comes to rise again.
True heroes in these dark times.
Fennevyr is a Thunder and Light Support with Healing skills and several Immunities.
Evolving Trait:
Rank 0: Area Dodge
Rank 1: Immune to Light Damage
Rank 3: Status Caster: Gains Torture Immunity at the start of its first turn
Lady Marrowfin
Lady Marrowfin spent most of her life as a nomad, sailing the oceans of Petra and conversing with the monsters of every region—until she met Hydratila. While visiting the sea palace of the Water Realms during a grand banquet, this wise philosopher and Thalassa’s most loyal soldier fell in love instantly. She chose to remain in the Water Realms, where Queen Thalassa welcomed her warmly as a counselor.
Iguanazaur also immediately bonded with his father’s new partner. Yet Lady Marrowfin’s son isn’t entirely thrilled with the new family arrangement. You’ll have to tread carefully, Shadowfynn!
Lady Marrowfin is a Metal and Dark Controller with Stun and Fear skills.
Evolving Trait:
Rank 0: Immune to Freeze
Rank 1: Water Protection
Rank 3: Status Caster: Applies Nightmares to all enemies at the start of its first turn
Shadowfynn
Shadowfynn used to sail the oceans of Petra with no rules—except for a few from his mother, like where their next adventure would take them. Life was perfect. Then, Lady Marrowfin fell for Hydratila and decided to settle in the Water Realms.
So... Shadowfynn hated it. Court life, endless rules, and his mom always busy with her new partner or royal meetings. Terrible idea.
Luckily, he found kindred spirits in the rebels of New Wave. Kozorg, Rebel Frosilka, and the rest think palace life is a snooze too—especially now that Mighty Thetys has turned into a “responsible” princess.
Shadowfynn and his friends might make his mother pull her hair out a few times from now on… but hey, she did tell him to get used to this new home!
Shadowfynn is a Water and Thunder Support with Trait Disable and Total Blind skills.
Evolving Trait:
Rank 0: Hardened
Rank 1: Immune to Control
Rank 3: Status Caster: Gains Anticipation at the start of its first turn
Flamevalve
This firefighter has more work than he can handle these days, with the Syndicate carrying out the so-called government-approved urban renewal program, which involves setting fire to everything in the way of what they want to do, whether it's a building, a tree, or a car.
But no matter how bad it gets, Flamevalve never backs down. He doesn’t just put out the fires; he absorbs them, channeling the flames through his suit to keep himself going. To the rest of the Citizens, he’s more than a firefighter—he’s a living firewall between the bad guys and the city.
Flamevalve is a Fire and Metal Tank with Mechanical as a Trait and Healing skills.
Evolving Trait:
Rank 0: Tough
Rank 1: Mechanical
Rank 3: Status Caster: Gains Double Healing at the start of its first turn
Schomong
This orc isn’t as obsessed with cows as most of his kind. He’s more cold-minded and doesn’t lose his head over food, though he does enjoy a roasted turkey or two from time to time. Culinary preferences aside, turkeys play an important role in this sorcerer’s rituals, who uses their feathers to craft charms and perform spells.
Schomong has become quite the rival to Warspellz, our well-known orc shaman. Warspellz is the more traditional of the two, firmly set in his old ways, while Schomong tends to experiment and push boundaries. Lately, however, Khalorc Rageskin seems to have placed all his trust and attention in Schomong, and there’s nothing Warspellz can do to change that.
Schomong is a Magic and Light Controller with Corruption, Stamina Drain, and Damage Boost skills.
Evolving Trait:
Rank 0: Hardened
Rank 1: Immune to Blind
Rank 3: Status Caster: Applies a 25% Damage Increase to all allies at the start of its first turn
Baddy Crimson
Remember how Shork hates Cavenfish, because he hates sharks and can’t stand the idea of a shark being just as much a pirate as he is? Good, because that conflict’s about to resurface.
Baddy Crimson is one annoying pirate goblin. Annoying enough to get on an orc’s nerves—in this case, Shork’s. He’s chaotic too, the kind of chaos that gets you kicked out of Shork’s crew, even if you did bring along an extra cannon that any pirate ship would kill for.
So after that fallout, (because he’s that annoying) what did Baddy Crimson do? Exactly. He went straight to Shork’s most hated enemy and biggest nemesis: Cavenfish. And it’s not like Cavenfish is thrilled about having this obnoxious goblin at his side, but when Baddy offered himself (and his cannon), Cavenfish had to weigh his options... and that cannon weighs a lot.
Baddy Crimson’s the kind of monster you don’t really want on your team, but it’s ten times worse to have him on the other one. So… welcome to Cavenfish’s crew, Baddy!
Baddy Crimson is a Fire and Metal Attacker with Damage Buffs, Pirate Mark, and Torture skills.
Evolving Trait:
Rank 0: Immune to Tortures
Rank 1: Immune to Blind
Rank 3: Status Caster: Gains Orc Hater at the start of its first turn
